WORKFLOW ACTIONS

What you can configure.

Choose an action in the workflow builder, connect an account, and map its inputs. These actions are available in the catalog; your account access and a successful test determine whether they work for your setup.

Execute query

Write

Run a GoogleSQL query, with named parameters, and return its first page of rows.

Permissions and limits

Account permissions

Operation limits

  • A query may change data (DML) and is billed by the bytes it processes. The step's idempotency key is sent as BigQuery's requestId, so BigQuery runs a repeated identical request once.
  • When jobComplete is false the query is still running; read its rows with Get query results and the jobReference.
  • A lost answer remains uncertain and NodeHub does not resend it automatically.

A repeated request may repeat the external action. Review the previous result before retrying a write.

Get query results

Read

Read a page of a query job's rows, or whether it has finished.

Permissions and limits

Account permissions

Pagination: cursor. Check the result for additional pages; a single action may not return every record.

Insert rows

Write

Stream up to 500 rows into a table.

Permissions and limits

Account permissions

Operation limits

  • Without insertId, a repeated insert adds the rows again. A lost answer remains uncertain and NodeHub does not resend it automatically.
  • Rows arrive through the streaming API, which has its own pricing.

A repeated request may repeat the external action. Review the previous result before retrying a write.

List datasets

Read one page of a project's datasets.

List tables

Read

Read one page of a dataset's tables.

SETUP

Start with a controlled test.

01Connect the intended account

Use the account and permissions required for your process. Review the connection check before configuring a workflow action.

02Review inputs and access

Select a listed operation and map its required inputs. Use test records and add a human approval before writes that need review.

03Confirm the result

Inspect step outputs and confirm the result in Google BigQuery. A saved workflow is not a completed provider action.
