WORKFLOW ACTIONS
What you can configure.
Choose an action in the workflow builder, connect an account, and map its inputs. These actions are available in the catalog; your account access and a successful test determine whether they work for your setup.
Delete a template
Write
Delete a template with all its versions (template ID) or one version (version ID). It stops being listed at once; the file is removed after the storage retention delay.
Permissions and limits
Account permissions
A Carbone API token (a test token renders watermarked PDFs only; template calls work with either)
A repeated request may repeat the external action. Review the previous result before retrying a write.
List template categories
Read
List the categories used by deployed templates, sorted by name.
Permissions and limits
Account permissions
A Carbone API token (a test token renders watermarked PDFs only; template calls work with either)
List template tags

List templates

List deployed, unexpired templates, newest first, filtered by ID, version, category, origin or a name search; pass nextCursor back as cursor for the next page.

Account permissions

Update a template
Write
Change a template's name, comment, category, tags, deployed time or expiry, or move a version to another template ID. A template ID updates its deployed version; a version ID updates that version.

Upload a template
Write
Store a DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ODT, HTML, Markdown, CSV, XML or other text-based template sent as base64. With versioning, the answer holds the template ID and this version's ID; without it, the template's SHA-256 ID.
Permissions and limits
Account permissions
A Carbone API token (a test token renders watermarked PDFs only; template calls work with either)
A repeated request may repeat the external action. Review the previous result before retrying a write.
SETUP
Start with a controlled test.
01Connect the intended account
Use the account and permissions required for your process. Review the connection check before configuring a workflow action.
02Review inputs and access
Select a listed operation and map its required inputs. Use test records and add a human approval before writes that need review.
03Confirm the result
Inspect step outputs and confirm the result in Carbone. A saved workflow is not a completed provider action.
